Born in Bergen, Norway, Marius W Hansen trains his eye on the shapes and forms of the everyday, attentive to light, surface and the quiet presence of an object, finding the image in the familiar.

His commercial work includes campaigns for Chanel, Dior, Gucci and Tiffany, and his photography has appeared in AnOther Magazine, M le Monde, POP, Vogue, W Magazine and Harper’s Bazaar. Alongside this, his personal work has been exhibited internationally, including at Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary. It is also held in the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery, London.

He is also the founder of Antenne Books (2010), a London-based distributor for independent publishers, and the maker of the Whanzine series, an ongoing project of more than one hundred zines that has grown into a substantial body of work, exploring the ordinary in parallel to his commercial commissions.
